More cannabis companies saw significant leadership changes in recent days, continuing the trend in which most of Canada’s top producers replaced CEOs or other senior executives in the past year.
Auxly Cannabis Group announced the resignation of its chief operating officer, Jeff Tung, effective immediately.
Cooke’s resume includes senior roles with Tesco, British American Tobacco and cannabis producer Canopy Growth.
Last summer, Hugo Alves took over as CEO of Auxly, replacing Chuck Rifici.
Shares of Auxly Cannabis Group are traded on the TSX Venture Exchange as XLY.
In other moves:
- Vancouver-based Harvest One also announced leadership changes this week.
CEO Grant Froese resigned, effective immediately.
Froese is succeeded on an interim basis by Chief Commercial Officer Andy Bayfield.
Bayfield will also be appointed to the board.
Harvest One also selected Frank Holler, currently board chair, as executive chair.
The company’s shares trade on the TSXV Exchange as HVT.
- Green Growth Brands, based in Ohio, disclosed that Peter Horvath is stepping down as CEO and as a board member, effective immediately.
Horvath lasted just over a year in the role.
He is being replaced on an interim basis by current Chief Operating Officer Randy Whitaker.
Green Growth Brands shares are traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange as GGB.
